I note that ‘Ubuntu’ and the Ubuntu logo are listed as registered trademarks on the disk pictured. If you use them without permission you Will be sued. Irony…? Ha. Its called protecting business to make a profit same same as Microsoft et al.
jon, they are trademarks in order to prevent other companies from using said logos. If I were to make a company that used the Ubuntu name, and the logo/name were not already trademarked…
Well, it would end with a ridiculously unnecessary legal battle.
Well for the man who said his tru love is Debian, I hate to say right now i wouldn’t want to be a Debian user with the vulnerability in the OpenSSL library used to generate key pairs on Debian. and yes they pushed out a fix for it.. but there is no fix to sift thru and find all those existing keys.
Peter, I assume you’re being sarcastic, since Ubuntu is more or less just repackaged Debian packages and suffers from the same issue. See the full list of vulnerable distros here: http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/29179
I love linux as well, but for some things it’s still worth dualbooting it with windows, wine can only do so much and to be honest, who cares, I know more people with illegal windows than legal!

Did anyone else notice that it’s a Windows MOBILE CD. Don’t think I’ve ever see one of those.

This is why we all love linux! Even the labels on the dvd encourage us to love it.

Must’ve been posted by a proper geek, the only genuine Windows CD that could be found came with a smartphone.

Is Linux only just Ubuntu?

If you aren’t being sarcastic, no. Ubuntu is on of the most popular versions at the moment.
