One of the biggest problems is the packagemanagement. It isn’t as easy to share software as in windows. Under Linux ever tried to take a package from PC A and installed it to PC B and PC B has no internet?

Only had the ‘Fox crash one once in openSuse, but i did have 245 open tabs
for me however the ‘Fox is much slower than Konqueror in KDE

No, there is only one reason – Linux itself. It is that simple. Stop looking for “reasons” elsewhere. Example: Mandriva Spring One (KDE) (and not only Mandriva), both Firefox and Konqueror freeze and crash while browsing some of the popular websites (not to mention incorrect renderring of web some pages). Firefox on Windoz does not do that. WHY?

I know it is a very ignorant of me, but still… My expectations of decent web browsing experince are not out of this world.

“The” real reason???? It’s one reason.But bittorrent isn’t the only method for getting windows it comes with the machine too.lol Everyone bought a computer without Windows?

There are other reasons: 1.Lack of variety of programs that most people like.
2.Variety of Games

3.Marketing

4.Lack of knowledge about computers and what an operating system is by a large portion of windows users.

The real reason is there are many reasons.

We just have to keep letting people know what the advantages are of Linux and show others how to use it.
