You do realize that most distros come with OpenOffice.org, which is actually very nice compared to Microsoft Office? You're basically comparing Word to Notepad with this picture. Very dishonest and shameful of you if you do, indeed, have any Linux experience whatsoever.

That Gedit screenshots if far better than MS wordpad.
Just look at it! The brown and orange colors (better than blue) and the big icons (taking too much of my screen).

Perfect!

Looking at this version of Notepad, it struck me that MS should be careful with their features; because this version of Wordpad looks feature compatible with the functions from MS-Office people actually use!
If they keep this up, who would bother buying MS-O?

I like it.
Seems like a basic Word. It looks better than openoffice crap.

There are several Windows 7 screenshots reflecting its progress. It makes me wonder how would Gnome look by Windows 7 release.

MS is working hard on improving Windows look and feel and user experience, will Gnome do the same? or stick old fashioned like that gedit screenshot? If so, I will run that new Wordpad on wine.

Eww, looks to much like Vista/Office 2007 from the screen shots Ive seen. Those horrible ribbon menus! *gak*

Mind you, so long as I can default Explorer to details view its got to be better than Vista. (I have to change how many view templates!!??)

Never mind, I'm a happy linux camper now :)
